OUR MISSION
The South Asian Solidarity Movement (SASM) was established in 2021 with the goal of creating a community of justice oriented South Asian Americans committed to promoting inclusion, equity and engaging in cross-racial solidarity within the city of Chicago and beyond.
SASM works to create educational opportunities and community building experiences designed to encourage a commitment to anti-oppression and justice. SASM is an initiative led by a multigenerational team of Chicago leaders who are dedicated to using their privilege, power, and platforms to work collectively towards promoting and enacting social change.
